Welcome to the Hazen Soccer Program website. We hope you enjoy what we have to share and find it informative as well. Please feel free to send us your comments and feedback via our web master, as we will continually strive to make the site one that is useful and enjoyable.

Now a little bit about the Booster Club. We are a group of parents and friends who share the common goal of making the girl's high school soccer experience positive and enjoyable. We work with the coaches, players, parents, sponsors and school administration to raise funds, create excitement and promote the soccer program.

We are a new group. Yet, we made great progress in 2009 and 2010 by establishing our board, bylaws, and budgets. Our first fund raising effort was a huge success as we sold nearly 200 soccer style scarves last year. It truly was "scarves up" at the games by season's end as nearly all of the fans proudly waved their scarves.  Don't worry if you missed the opportunity to own a coveted Hazen scarf, we have a new scarf style just for you!

With such a great start, we plan on carrying the momentum into the 2010 season. Additional fund raisers are being planned to support the needs of the coaches and players. I know we all have busy lives but any time and effort that can be given to support the soccer program is truly appreciated by the coaches and girls.

We would like to acknowledge the following individuals who generously donated their time in 2010. Thanks go to Renee Mellinger, Kim Zyskowski, Debbie Schoville, Kurt Schoville, Teri Anderson, Tami  and Mark Garvin, Roberta Zell, Coach Breann Vanden Bos, and Coach Ken Matthews. An acknowledgment of appreciation also goes to the Hazen High School administration, Principle John Kniseley, Assistant Principle Ed Crow, Assistant Principle Anita Jose, ASB Administrative Assistant Madelene Matthews, and Program Specialist Vicky Molner for their solid support of the Hazen Girls Soccer Program.

Girls Soccer families are a special bunch. Many of us have seen our kids go from social soccer to competitive soccer in what seems like a flash in time. We've always supported the girls by driving them to and from practices. Attending their games in all types of weather. Taking long road trips to away games. We've purchased several sweatshirts, tee shirts, buddy shirts, soccer shoes, socks, shorts, jerseys, bags, and balls. We've cringed every time they bump heads or have been knocked down. We mended their broken hearts and egos. We shared in the thrill of the girls accomplishments and helped them through adversity. And, perhaps for many, soccer events have become the main source of our social lives. And, we wouldn't trade the experience for anything!

We have a great soccer community at Hazen. We look forward to welcoming new members to the family and look forward to your participation in the Booster Club. Please don't wait too long to get involved in the Hazen girls soccer experience... our girls are growing up way too quickly!

To a ZESTY 2011 season!
